Design Your Own Digital Art Project
Logo project
In this project, we were tasked with designing our own logo using our initials or whatever else we wanted I chose my initials because I felt that was the most convenient. The top has my last initial, C, and the logo as a whole also forms my first initial, S. I used the Twirl tool in Adobe Illustrator to make the curls and points from a basic S, and then emphasized the C in the top of the S by thickening the stroke. My original color scheme was the black on the dark red, but I thought it would be fun to play with more.

Utopian/Dystopian Visual Aide
We did this project as part of our Humanities class' Happiness unit.
My project (left), which is a reference to V for Vendetta, a graphic novel/film about a theocratic dystopia. This was made in Adobe illustrator.
My biggest takeaway from this project was a refresher in illustrator, which I used quite a bit in 7th and 8th grade but somewhat forgot how to use over the summer.
I mostly used the brush tool, but explored different brushstrokes that I had never used before. The font choice for the quote at the bottom was very simple. I felt that this typeface reflected the general theme of industrialization that is consistent in many dystopias. |
Teacher Creature
I slacked off a lot during this project so I didn't get anything done.
Name Project
This project was our introduction to Photoshop. We had to take pictures of objects or parts of objects that looked like the letters of our names and fit them together to make our names. I had to make a shortened version of my name since mine is so long.
